There are plenty who would like to see both the PLA and GGRM stay together in the canyon. It should not be hard to see that this arrangement benefits both organizations, the public, and the goal of preserving SP history. But some people people feel threatened by the GGRM's presence and would prefer to see these groups competing against one another at different locations. These same people have invented all kinds of bogus grievances to try and say the people of the GGRM are unsafe, selfish, and undermining the PLA. It is a despicable spectacle of fake victimization and ego that is trying to prevent these two good organizations from continuing to work together.
