The Petaluma & Santa Rosa was an interurban line that ran between its namesake cities in Sonoma County, California. It also operated a nightly carferry from Petaluma to San Francisco. The line was taken over by the Northwestern Pacific sometime in the 1920s and electric operations ceased shortly thereafter. Freight service continued first under steam and later diesel until sometime the the late 50s or early 60s. Virtually all of its trackage has been ripped up. A few interurban cars were saved, one is at WRM in Rio Vista and I believe another is at Orange Empire.
