In posting stuff at RP one of the interesting challenges seems to be that a new "digital style" seems to have evolved that reflects the tremendous capability of digital to more easily render almost technically flawless images...tack sharp, tremendous depth of field, more dynamic range than film, and of course greater sensitivity in low light situation. Back in the bad old days of film we often used grain and some of the "imperfections" associated with the limitations of the medium to create "atmosphere". Grainy shots reflected gritty realism, muddy shots (like mine) provided some "mood". Film is as good as or even better then digital when the light is right, but digital can sure handle shadows and cloudy light more easily.
I enjoy the challenge of trying to get stuff onto RP, as well as high traffic RP gets. But it does have its frustrations. So like Steve I have my own place as well (a veritable orgy of train pix) which I might as well give a plug for:
