Jerry Jeffrey's Photo

A really nice and historically important photo tonight Jerry. But to make it an excellent a few problem with it need to be corrected. First it is dirty. Before scanning the slide was not cleaned much, if at all. Simple cleaning with air and a proper setting on a good scanner would have eliminated that. Next the edges of the slide show. Tighter cropping or working with the cloning tool would have eliminated that. Lastly, it's very blue, typical of old Kodachromes. Simple color correct would have fixed that.
Why am I telling you this? Easy, you wanted 100s of people to look at it and enjoy it. That's why you sent it in. You really want to have them to be looking at your best effort and not something you just slapped together. Learning good electronic darkroom techniques is time consuming but wort it.
I'm not picking on you in particular. Too many folks post flawed, but easily fixed, train pictures to the web. Your picture just popped up tonight. There are several of us who post pictures to this site that we have worked hard to make excellent. I have a high-quality scanner and a top-of-the-line SLR digital camera, but every scan or digital photo needs work before it is sufficient quality to post.
