Great write up. I have the book on Walt Disney's Railroads, which is an excellent book.
I'm familiar with Ward Kimball. He was a long-time train and technical expert working with Walt Disney. It's fitting that one of the engines is named after him. Likewise, one of the engines at DisneyWorld is named the Roger E. Brogee, who was another long-time right-hand man to Walt Disney and the development of DisneyWorld.
By the way, the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln attraction was also a "C" ticket, not an "A" ticket according to the data I have.
What is left of Walt's backyard railway? I believe the minuature equipment is on display. Does any of the roadbed survive in the house's backyard?
