Wasn't judging its appearance, heck I haven't even seen this unit in person. I probably thought that UP might have cannibalized it somewhat before selling it(wonder if it came from one of the past Roseville locomotive auctions). Ol' 7632's initial employer(SP) pulled many a train with locos that had appearances none the worse as hers(a common nickname for the roadgrime covered units were "Al Jolsons"). But they DID pull, and SP being primarily an EMD railroad(at least until the mid '90s anyway) sounded impressively doing so(not that it matters in the world of working railroad, just that most all on this board, as well as many rails are fans one way or another). Just my $.02.
