Three places get empty boxcars up there. Teck Cominco loads lead zinc ingots at Waneta, Columbia Gardens Reload ships out pulp (and lumber on centerbeams), and the International Rail Road Systems railroad ships veneer. The covered hoppers come out of Waneta with fertilizer, and out of Quirk with slag. Tank cars also get loaded with sulphuric acid at Quirk. The tank cars, hoppers ,and ingot boxes are all resulting from the processing of the inbound ore.
