Ghost of the Interbay icing dock

There is an overpass just North of the yard. Some concrete pads may still be visible on the ship canal side of the tracks. I remember watching icing. Blocks were brought in by local trucks.
Bicycle territory.

Fans, operated by belts from axles, were cutting-edge technology. The Cumbres & Toltec has one of these cars; used for lumber storage. Look for fan hubs on steel reefers retired to storage yards. Favorites for museums. IRM has a about an acre of parts cars.

My assignment, one day at Antonito, Colorado, was lubricating the door hardware. Two days later, the doors moved by firm application of shoulders. Previously, a forklift was necessary.
