M&ET 70 Tonners Sold?

Recieved a phone call the other day from a broker/dealer indicating that they (not sure who 'they' are) had purchased the entire remaining fleet of Modesto & Empire Traction 70-tonners including parts (but NOT the 600) and were offering them for sale.

He knew enough to know they couldn't be moved on their own wheels (friction bearings and non-alignment couplers) but not much else.

Don't know if this is some kind of fishing trip or they are for real?
