Clarification I

Somewhere a couple of pages back, is a little discussion about the meaning of the word "gun". (See re: guns and museums.)

Years ago, I was press-ganged/dragooned/drafted (under threat of imprisonment) into Uncle Sammy's Army.

Spent a delightful summer at beautiful Ft. Dix New Joisey.

In order to bring us raw (there's an understatement) recruits up to speed, terminology wise, we learned a little ditty, to wit:

"This is my rifle" (drill sergeant holds up an M-14)
"This is my gun" (drill sergeant points to that space between the legs where a male's special equipment hangs)
"One is for shooting"
"One is for fun."

This should clarify things.
