Later this month, letters will go out to potential donors seeking help funding the $1 million facility.
Many longtime members already have contributed and about one-third of the cost is covered. Plans are to break ground in 2011 after the rest of the money is raised through donations and naming opportunities.

The center would be 8,400 square feet with a loft. Tiles and bricks that make up the walls and walkways would be engraved with donors' names.
Hmmm, an 8,400 square foot building that costs $1,000,000 to construct? Presumably OERM already owns the land. This is not a government structure, but one for a private group, although presumably the structure will be open to the public. Sure the building needs to be sprinklered, but a million dollars??
