My dad gave me a 35mm Petri rangefinder camera back in '65. It had a 45mm fixed lens that was quite sharp. After he saw that I would continue with this, he gave me his older Pentax on Christmas '67 and that really opened up things for me as I added a wide angle soon thereafter. I have my dad to thank for helping me get started in this hobby.
