I'm sorry, sir, but I think you misunderstood Mr. Sheldrake's point, and morover, what exactly the Oregon Cultural Trust is.
A quick glance at their website (on the INTERNET) would reveal that you can donate money to ORHF, the Friends, etc., THROUGH the trust and claim your tax credit for doing so, in addition to your FIT deduction for said donations, as long as you make a matching grant to the Trust (for which you also receive credit)... and the Trust uses its monies to support projects/grants of its affiliated members. All in all, a good deal.
