I've come across some paperwork (Titled Southern Pacific Employee Stock Ownership Plan) in my recently deceased father files. The newest is from 1986 and states he has a significant amount of dollars in stock. Awhile back he mentioned it and we know for a fact, that he had never converted or sold any of the shares. My mother is the sole beneficiary of his estate and would like to know about researching this stock. Would contacting Union Pacific be helpful?
