Given the news below about the Grangeville line, and if we're to believe the claim of "large corporation," we can probably rule out a certain three-man outfit who quietly tried 20+ years ago to hire one or two veteran railroaders and gain ownership or contract operation of the Camas Prairie with the eventual goal of moving grain and lumber over Halfmoon Trestle with F-units. More recently, there have been a number of "enthusiasts" with sufficient business savvy who have taken control of branch lines or short lines and acquired Fs and other interesting power to run them with. W&I comes to mind.
