Well, Theodore Judah most certainly did end up in Greenfield, MA, as that is where he was buried after dying in NYC in 1863, prior to the completion of the CPRR.
But, at least on this web page, no mention is made of the timeline when Judah [may] have surveyed this part of Greenfield. Judah had family in Greenfield, and
could have surveyed the area prior to his employment by the CPRR. Those Greenfield blocks could have been laid out years before there was any actual construction.
