You could probably return to the same block in 2011 and, with the exception of updated signs, newer fashions and newer automobiles, find the same architecture in the background.
The trolleys, of course, would be the Kawasaki LRVs, although I believe that SEPTS has a preserved, operational PCC that they bring out for special occasions (and NOT the rebuilds they operate on the Route 15 Girard Avenue line).
SEPTA has a "stuffed and mounted" PCC in their headquarters building on Market Street in downtown Philadelphia, right across from the old Reading Terminal. There is also a "stuffed and mounted" PCC in use as an ice cream stand along Germantown Avenue (the old Route 23 ROW) in the northwest paert of the city.
Incidentally, they're also called "Belgian Blocks" here in Portland, Ore.
