WHERE are all the TRAINS?

I spent 7 1/2 hours in Weber Canyon yesterday. On a normal day, I'd expect to see about 15 trains in that amount of time. On a bad day, maybe 10.

Yesterday, I saw 4.

Is the economy that bad? Was there a line closure that I didn't hear about? Is it just a random thing?
