Most of the BNSF traffic on the Mojave that is eastbound begins running in the afternoon and through the night. Westbound traffic is called whenever. It tends to be light Sunday PM through Tuesday AM, then traffic starts to pick up. Figure 8-12 starts a day each direction not counting long pool: The BAKBAR/BARBAK, PITKAI/KAIPIT, BARPAS, VAWBAR, QCLOOIG, VCLORIC, QCLORIC, BARRIC/RICBAR are all out there just about every day. There's usually two long pool trains each way, too.

The UP runs the QRVWC, a short stack train, the Brooklyn and a W.Colt-BAK-FRS drag, too.
