UP has had a real mess on the hill today. They had several trains stranded, because of
crew time limits. One was stalled on the number 2 track at Gold Run. They are finally
starting to get them moving east bound, this at about 7pm. With the one stalled train
blocking the number 2 track, they only had the number 1 track to get anything moving.
The crew transport vehicles were not able to get to the trains because of the roads
being blocked by the heavy snow. They had a two engines go up to recover the stalled
train and pickup some of the stranded crew members and take them to a plowed crossing to
where the crew transport wagons could get them.
