Well, 2 things here Tom. 1st, Camp Roberts is on the north side of San Luis Obispo. The second location " There was a grade up to the top of a mesa and I did see the sign as we passed
by. 35/25?" That could be the bottom of Callender Hill (which takes you to the top of the Nipomo Mesa) as that is the posted speed for Passenger/Freight, and for reason, as it is a curvy hill. That wouldn't be a permanent "Slow Order", but a speed restriction (or reduction, if you will). If the area you are talking about is in fact on the south side of SLO, I highly doubt if there would be a permanent slow order as the MTM for SLO south to Moorpark, Javier Sanchez, would not let a slow order last too long on his district.
