I doubt many centerbeams are being scrapped - too new and still useful for loads other than lumber. Some of the early 63'(?) centerbeams may be scrapped.

WURR is pulling 300 cars out of storage for UPRR, 75 at a time. There is a nice log deck at La Grande, but it doesn't appear the Boise mill is runnning yet. A friend suggested they may have been closed long enough to reopen without the previous union contract.

I saw a "Flexibeam" years ago - an extra long centerbeam that apparently did not catch on. One of the Canadian carbuilders is advertising a depressed deck centerbeam, but I haven't seen one yet.
