Thank you, 'MisterTower"! I was referring to the
train that arrived today (Wed., March 23, 2011)
iat Weso, just east of Winnemucca), and then went
onto to old WP, and then ran all the way through the
Canyon. I think no one managed to get pix of it on
keddie Wye, which is too bad. we were listening to
its progress on railroadradio dot net. It had a Bronco
escort after if got to Keddie Wye.

Monday, March 21, 2011, was a momentous day: for
what I am pretty sure was the first time in Amtrak's
history, the CZ and the Coast Starlight BOTH detoured
over two railfan hot spots on the SAME DAY. The
Starlight detoured over Tehachapi Loop, and the CZ
detoured through the Feather River Canyon.

We were able to see a tiny image of the CZ today on
the webcams at the Western Pacific RR museum in Portola,
CA.

I really wish someone could have gotten pix of the
detouring CZ on Clio Trestle, too.
