I went to go see the washout myself today. I think even a little more of the washout length crumbled into the ditch since last week. The washout though is very deep, and will require a lot of fill, rebuilding the culvert, and then scramble around to see who picks up the bill. Nobody was there today when I went by. It's just east of New Brighton Road. The 50's tied up at Pro Build in Capitola, and probably won't be doing any work anytime soon. I wonder if a flatbed truck can get it over to the other side? Otherwise I suspect the Sierra is arranging for a short term engine lease from UP to get to Americold.
