There is also a good possibility that, within the next year or so, Amtrak will have to permanently move the "Empire Builder" off its current route through Grand Forks, @#$%& Lake and Rugby due to the rising level of @#$%& Lake. The lake level threatens to cut off the BNSF line through the area.

If this happens, then Amtrak would route the "Builder" onto the former Surrey Cutoff between Fargo and Minot, with New Rockford replacing the lost stops listed above.
