Most flatbed scanners out now have the capacity to scan slides with good results. If you are looking for something smaller, have a look at one of these little USB Slide Scanners from Crosley Radio (link.) These little guys are avaiable from other sellers. I suggest doing a search on Google Shopping.

Another route to go, is to find an older Nikon slide scanner on Ebay. I have seen these go for as little as $50.
