As George mentioned, we came down the former MILW line from Elbe. This is now the Tacoma Rail Mountain Division.

As for going to Lakewood, we'd have had a long wait. Currently "You can't get there from here!" Not by steam train, nor by any other train. The connector between Freighthouse Square and the Lakewood line is just beginning construction. They say it will be done by 2012, but ST usually moves at a relatively modest pace, so we'll see what happens.
