Two days of steam on the Grand Canyon Railway

The 4960 ran to the rim on both last Saturday and Sunday for a two day photo charter by Pete Lerro. On Saturday we had a freight consist and on Sunday the Harriman subs. Both days we left Williams at 4:30 a.m. and returned after sunset providing some nice morning and evening lighting for runbys. The veggie oil seems to work just fine, and if it makes the National Park Service happy that is good. Word is that work will be done on the 4960 to keep her in service and available for special occasions. A nice weekend of steam on an interesting railroad. My pix of the trip can be found here:
