Ross,

Two big fires in the area, both at or above 50,000 acres, neither close to any track. One is 20 or so miles south of Lewiston, the other is 20 miles south of Grangeville.
Had two motorcar groups tour the line this year, both got as far as Ferdinand on the Grangeville branch. Due to cars being stored on the main track between Spalding and Culdesac, the motorcars were required to set on at Culdesac this year.
I was unaware of the change in reporting marks on the log cars but suspect the scrap yard is the final destination.
No word on reopening either the fourth or second subs as yet.
