By the time of your picture, State Hwy. 91 was open from Riverside through Orange County to the Long Beach Fwy, S/R 7 at the time. In Riverside the 91 ended & became, at the time, Interstate 15 East / U.S. 395 for the run through San Berdoo & Cajon Pass. La Cadena Drive was closer to the Santa Fe's 3rd District mainline.
