During those first few years prior to the grand opening (in 1981?), they did some fantastic restoration projects. But now it seems the restoration shops only take things apart, then put them aside (like the SP 2-6-0). It reminds me of a kid taking his toys apart and not knowing how to put them back together again, so they end up in a closet. I heard the nose of the Kraut has been cut off... At least the camera nose was authentic to SP. Now it has nothing.
