C'mon, Folks. Give Ed a break.
I volunteer at a railroad-advocacy non-profit and many's the time I've decried (not in print, however) the fact that we have a certain number of members paid and a bunch of ex-officio free riders along with 30K who use our "product" but remain "free". I know that it's very frustrating but I also know that you have little or no way of reaching the free riders short of standing at the news rack making them feel guilty. If I had Ed's soapbox (i.e., this free for all forum) I might try his same tactic. His single, pointed comment has stung some and caused a who lot of conversation and there's, supposedly, no such thing a "bad" publicity.
Charles, you say ...if you don't like what I have to say just don't read my writings... How about you apply the same courtesy to Ed Immelt?
