I wholeheartedly agree. Railfans are a fickle bunch. And strange. Not all--but many are. Here we've got a kid who is barely a teenager doing what I think is a pretty cool science project. Not only did he have to come up with idea and the invention in the first place (which is a lot in and of itself), but then he had to video record everything, document it, edit the movie, add voice-over, create colored graphics and charts, and add those items into the movie.
I was once in his shoes. Do you mean you guys were NEVER his age? Are you so into this hobby that you can no longer see the forest for the trees? I am forever thankful to a few adults who helped me out when I was just a dumb kid, but they saw something in me and steered me in the right direction and for that I will be forever grateful. I'm getting tired of all of the negative comments about EVERYTHING. Not just here---pretty much everywhere. I don't understand it any more....
