You might want to use E bay as a source of information. Just type in Lionel Engines or Passenger or freight or box or tank cars and see if any of your pieces show up. Condition is important however it is not the only measurement of value. If you have time I am sure similar pieces will show up at some point on E-Bay for a comparison.
