According to John Heller, author of the completed but as-yet-unpublished "Pacific Electric Substations" book, the Stone Castle substation was never assigned a number by Pacific Electric, and was abandoned in 1919.

No 34 was PE's "University Substation," a corrugated metal affair near Vermont Ave & the USC campus... not to be confused with LARy's identically-named University Substation.
