At least a few of these taxpayers will get something for the money we're borrowing, something that they actually need right now- something called jobs!

The trains are fuller than ever, so we need the passenger cars. This investment is the kind that could increase revenues and decrease operating subsidies. And, with this investment, we at least get some relief on our congested corridors like the permanently jammed I-5, parallel to LOSSAN.

I am pretty certain that this benefit from investing in rail is a good deal more than any of us regular folks got back for us helping in "borrowing" the funds to bail out AIG or the banks..... and now, we're really paying off their debts, too?

I'd rather pay interest on this part of the national debt, for our infrastructure, than the debt we acquired just for the sheer waste in Iraq....... but, they don't give us choices like that, do they?

So yeah, let's destroy Amtrak, maybe Thomas too! That will solve all of our debt problems, right?

Meanwhile, let's increase truck weights, cut truck road fees and taxes, while we depreciate and destroy our aging roads even faster.... like the real thinkers and visionaries we seem to be!
