No, George, you were right. There are two wings of the Beard Family involved. One branch owns and operates the M&ET, the other the ST&E.

The ST&E has been for sale for about 15 years. The owner has been trying to get out of the business for a while. From what I have heard through the grapevine, there is a lot of untapped potential in the ST&E that the previous management team just wasn't interested in going after. I know some folks who worked for the railroad and there were many workers who felt at odds with management.

I'm hoping this will be a rebirth for the little line.
