I had the same thing happen with a CHP in 1981 on the return-to-Portland leg of the trip up the West Valley line from the opening of the CSRM. Weaving through the "pacing line" around Williams and then a 75 MPH run to the next off ramp, I was trailed off-freeway and to-trackside. I figured that my day was finished, but the cop just came up next to me, took his photos, and left--this time heading south.

I agree, BTW--nice shot.
