How does CHSR on the penninsula cause highway traffic south of San Jose? These people are morons. So have high speed rail from San Jose to LA and accelerated speed line to San Francisco using the CALTRAIN line on the penninsula. Make sure there are no stops in the cities that whine the most.

I think a lot of aspects of CHSR makes no sense. It has been designed by politics instead of from a business sense. Insisting that the line is from SF to LA or bust is dumb. SJ to LA is fine.
