While I was at my favorite trainspotting area, reading the Sunday paper and keeping more or less half an eye on the neighboring UPRR mainline, a passing WB UPRR freight came to a controlled halt, which is unusual because trains normally shoot on through.

After a bit, a dude in a fluorescent vest appeared on the front walkway of the lead unit.

A bit later, another dude in a fluorescent vest also appeared on the same walkway.

So, now we have two dudes discussing things in front of the headlights of the lead locomotive.

I am sure that they weren't talking about light bulbs, so....

the question is, did I see a weed weasel performing his duties?

Would a weed weasel actually shut down a major mainline operation to hold a job debriefing?

Any thoughts?
