Re: UP steam to Arizona in November

If you look at a map, there's not an obvious "best" route to get to New Mexico from Cheyenne and stay on UP's tracks. They can get to Pueblo, but from there they need to use BNSF trackage rights to get to Dalhart. I was told about 4 weeks ago they would use this route, but since there's been no official announcement, I got to believe the subject is still under discussion.
