BN--I minimized talk on the biomass subject because of not being directly railroad related, except that to do it on a proper economic scale, would require raiload drayage for inbound biomass. This can be almost any form of biodegradable mass, combined with sewage to provide the bacteria for breakdown. The collateral benefit is that you end up with not only methane, but also a nitrogen rich sludge that would make an excellent non-nitrate fertilizer for the ag industry. That's amazingly circular. While we're slightly off-topic, it's also amazing how we (the public) bought the BS about corn diverted to ethanol raising beef prices. As if corn was the only substance you can ferment to get ethanol. The railroads should research using vegetable oils and/or methane to run their diesels. You've got to think outside the petroleum pipe.
