How about both leaking blower seals? I've been given to understand that you no longer run EMDs with the airbox drains closed.

One bad traction motor (pinion torched off), all the bearings on the layshaft mechanisms need replacing, the governor needs servicing, and only the roof needs repainting (didn't get that third coat of Centari -- the orange is Dulux). The FRA already knows about the wheel slip stuff being temporarily disabled (how they found that out, I have no idea). My sources told me that as of about a month and 1/2 ago the 917 was wide open to the elements and things were getting rusty inside.
