Good points,olyrail. Interstate 5 passes directly over Blakeslee Junction, and the current track alignment comes close to several bridge piers. The widening work will probably require additional piers to be located on current trackage, hence the re - alignment. I'm thinking any abandonment might be only the ex - Milwaukee trackage South of the junction. I recall reading something about this, and the isolation of the Chehalis Steam Train facility at the South end of this line.
