Well spoken!
Nazism, also commonly referred to as fascism, was in fact a primarily SOCIALIST political movement centered in Germany. But it also infected several other European countries; the evils of which ultimately, are unequaled in human history.
The only real difference between pure socialism and fascism though, is the inclusion with the state control of ordinary citizen's lives; a state controlled special arrangement with favored private corporate interests. Could be that all socialists are thus tainted? Many are.
GM anyone, or banks, stock brokerages, and insurance companies that are "to big to fail"? Actually, that would not count as fascism, unless it was done by a socialist government. Yes I know, it still stinks to high heaven. But certainly, those in Congress that opposed it in vain (that Congressional Wascally-Wepublican-Party-of-NO comes to mind, that opposed it all), cannot validly be accused as socialists and cannot therefore be the fascists. Now as for Bush or Obama (two peas in a pod). . . . . .
But now go ahead and add a little socialist "re-distribution" to this mix of corporate favor, that our gov't has already recently poured out without measure; then it does become fascism by definition! OH! BUT WAIT! That would mean (as per your own assertions in a previous thread), that it is you that drank the "fascist kool-aid".
Well Spoken Indeed! - by someone already drunk on "the" koolaid; who's education apparently leaves them unable to recognize the differences between fascism, socialism, free enterprise, or capitalism; nor able to understand which one affords the most personal liberty. And most importantly - the value of personal liberty - having never actually been without it!
As to Eisenhower, He has never been a friend of railroading. In fact his policies nearly destroyed them all. And on purpose too! having developed a grudge against them why still a General, he developed an incredibly destructive alternative call the National Defense Highway system", without regard to the effect that gov't paid for r.o.w. would have on competition within the transport industry. Talk about gov't favor to special corporate interests!
National defense indeed!
My question> How can anyone not a "Friend" to railroading be considered "Intelligent?
