Hello Mr. Montezuma Yardmaster,
Trucker-on-the-Train is essentially the same as Officer-on-the-Train. These days, nobody except for railroad personnel are allowed in the locomotive cab. I haven't been part of an Officer-on-the-Train event for 3 or 4 years, but for an event like that, law enforcement may still be allowed. No matter what, the Southern CA Rail Safety Team has on-board cameras with real time view from each loco cab. Trucking industry people and law enforcement were loaded on Metrolink cars as part of the special train. The whole idea of the Trucker-on-the-Train event was primarily educational for the truckers. Violators of the highway-rail grade crossings were dealt with via standard procedures. Therefore, if caught, a violator would be warned or cited. If you haven't already viewed the article I have posted, I encourage you to do so. You can see the day unfold from law enforcement briefing to deployment, press conference, and train ride.
Regards,
