You're only old if you remember Genesis when Peter Gabriel was their frontman, or when Phil Collins first stepped forward from behind the drumset still wearing a full head of hair. They achieved their greatest commercial success in the 80s and early 90s, but in my opinion some of their best music happened 1972-1978.

As for Jim Morefield and "Driving the Last Spike," I just realized it brings a whole new meaning to the last time I saw and photographed him. On that fateful day in November 2000 after the last revenue train departed Grangeville and rattled slowly across the Camas Prairie into the dark. Jim hirailed along behind them, removing switchlocks at sidings that would never see a train again, and spiking the switchpoints closed. Last spike indeed.
