Looking at the fill/viaduct -- if that's good enough for Delaware (the home of most of the big companies that still are incorporated in the US rather than some offshore tax haven), why not for Palo Alto?

Looking at the Newark station -- it looks like it had a high platform but now they're all ground-level. What happened? I thought all the NEC platforms were high?

Thanks!! And yes, steam can look very much like high speed and sound like it too even when it's not (those little wheels turn fast!).
