I am glad this thread came up. After seeing and photographing the trains many times I have always wondered about the equipment. Now, after all these years and with the help of the internet, is there a website with ACCURATE information on the complete roster of Their equipment? If so would it have information on re-trucking (such as Class 1 business cars from 6 to 4 wheel trucks), internal changes (such as original walls, etc.) and also a "boneyard" of cars being kept for wreck repair and extra parts. I believe that there have been railfans from time to time that have worked on the trains and might have a vast knowledge of the cars. I guess that they aren't really kept at any one area and are almost always on the road, correct? Or does the train get a month or two off each year for rebuilds and upgrades?
