If the purpose of the HBD is to provide air temperatures for the use of passing trains, etc, wouldn't the temperature sensor be in the detector's electronics cabin, box, hut or whatever those aluminum boxes are called. Guess this is why I don't understand the temperature variation, one sensor should serve all tracks within "its" jurisdiction.

And, I swear, I still hate "her" voice. What a nag.
